After Hours/Emergencies
For Urgent Needs When Our Office Is Closed
After hours phone calls are received by our answering service. They will take your information and send a message to the Children's Mercy After Hours Nurse Triage line. A trained pediatric nurse will assist with your urgent need. If necessary, the triage nurse will relay your message to the physician on-call for our office.
The fee for this service will be $15 per call.
If your call is non-urgent, please call our office during normal business hours (Monday-Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm) where our office nurses can assist you.

Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, respiratory distress etc. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office during business hours for instructions.
